Staglieno, un tempo comune autonomo, e' oggi un quartiere di Genova situato lungo il corso del grande fiume Bisagno. E' attraversato dalla Statale 45, la strada cara al grande poeta Giorgio Caproni che partendo dalla Foce risale la Val Bisagno, con tratti paralleli all'Acquedotto Storico di Genova, e arriva in Val Trebbia. E' circondato da frazioni e colline che portano sulle alture della citt� con diverse strade e sentieri. Un itinerario, porta tra le altre mete, anche al complesso dei Forti di Genova e sulle alture del parco del Righi.

Staglieno, once an independent village, is now a district of Genoa and it is located along the great Bisagno river and the State Route 45, the road celebrated by the great poet Giorgio Caproni. The SS45 starts from la Foce it goes parallel to the Ancient Historical Acqueduct of Genoa and leads to the Trebbia Valley. It is surrounded by hills and villages leading to the top of the town with several roads and trails. A trail leads, among other places, to all the Forts of Genoa and to the Righi park.

Come molti genovesi vado spesso nel quartiere di Staglieno. A volte per passeggiate, a volte per lutti personali, altre per avvenimenti o celebrazioni della citta'. Da molti anni ho fatto molte fotografie e la conoscenza dell'importante storia di molte opere, sia sui monti circostanti sia nel Cimitero Monumentale mi ha portato a proporre alcuni itinerari nel mio libro "Passeggiate a Levante" e ad una scelta tra le molte fotografie alcune delle quali sono visibili sul sito o sulla pagina di facebook.

Like many Genoise I go quite often in the Staglieno borough. Sometimes for a walk, sometimes for personal mourning, other times for events or celebrations of the town. For many years I have made many photographs and the knowledge of the important history of both in the sorrounding mountain areas or in the Monumental Cemetery has inspired me to propose some itineraries in my book "Passeggiate a Levante" (Eastern Liguria hiking) and a choice among the many photographs that I have done that can be viewed here or on my facebook page.

Alle spalle della citta' di Genova sono stati costruiti dei giganti di pietra: sono i forti, alcuni dei quali di dimensioni imponenti. Alcuni itinerari delle passeggiate portano della citta di Genova portano in poco tempo sulle alture circostanti e sulla serie di fortificazioni (che si estendono dalla Crocetta di Sampierdarena al forte San Giuliano in Albaro...) a protezione della citta'; tra queste ci sono i forti di S Giuliano, Diamante, Tenaglia, Begato, Sperone, Fratello Minore, Fratello maggiore, Puin, Richelieu, Ratti etc...)... Alcune risalgono ai tempi della Serenissima Repubblica di Genova e portano su balconi panoramici opposti, dai quali si puo' ammirare la citt� dall'alto, il panorama sui monti e sulla costa di Genova e del suo golfo, con interessanti rilevanze di tipo naturalistico, storico, sportivo, geologico etc.... Il complesso fortificato, costruito nella forma attuale tra il XVIII e il XIX secolo, rappresentava - con i suoi 16 e 19 km di cinta muraria - uno dei sistemi fortilizi pi� vasti d'Europa ed e' un percorso che poche citta' permettono di fare anche dall'alto. In breve tempo ci si trova in un mondo diverso dal caos del traffico e dove l'unico rumore e' quello del vento che soffia tra i meandri delle mura di questi forti carichi di storie interessanti e suggestive.
